Terra C MacLeod
Marlene Dietrich has haunted artists for decades and I understand why. Stepping into her world, her silhouette, her singular presence at the Grand Theatre, in London, Ontario starring alongside the incredibly talented Deborah Hay as Piaf and directed with the beautiful vision by Rachel Peaks this work was a transformation I will never forget. Marlene is all contradiction, soft and steely, vulnerable and untouchable. Finding her, eight shows a week, taught me more about what it means to truly inhabit a human being than almost anything else in my career.
Marlene Dietrich in my own words.
