Terra C. MacLeod is a Broadway actor, director, choreographer, and educator with an international career spanning performance and creative leadership. She is currently appearing in Come From Away at the Indiana Repertory Theatre.

She recently starred as Marlene Dietrich in Piaf/Dietrich – A Legendary Affair to critical acclaim, with reviewers praising her precision, authenticity, and commanding stage presence, as well as her ability to embody Dietrich’s elegance, authority, and emotional depth.

Terra is internationally recognized for her portrayal of Velma Kelly in Chicago, a role she has performed on Broadway, the West End, national tours, and major international productions. She has been instrumental in launching and leading multiple companies worldwide, bringing her signature interpretation of Velma to audiences across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Her long-standing association with the production reflects both her artistic authority and her role as a trusted custodian of one of musical theatre’s most iconic performances.

Recent performances in Quebec have once again drawn critical acclaim, with reviewers citing her magnetism, charisma, and commanding presence, and noting that she “undoubtedly” is a star in the production.

 

In addition to her performance career, Terra’s work continues to expand into directing, choreography, and artist development. Known for her movement-driven approach to storytelling, she brings a refined physical language and dramaturgical insight to both the stage and rehearsal room.

Originally from Montreal and based in New York, she brings a global perspective to her work, bridging performance, creation, and education across an international landscape.
